Deep tissue techniques use deep pressure with slow strokes and trigger points to target the deeper layers of the muscles and connective tissues. Whilst myofascial release uses stretches, rolling and negative pressure silicone coping designed to release and ease tight or damaged fascia.

The benefits are wide ranging and aim to release tension and tightness in the muscles and surrounding tissues, increased circulations and reduced inflammation alongside a sense of wellbeing and relaxation.

Holistic massage is a soft tissue massage which utilises long, gentle, gliding strokes (based on Swedish techniques). It is designed to stimulate bloody flow to the tissues, improve lymphatic flow and break down adhesions. It a perfect tonic in stressful situations.

This specialised treatment if for clients who require MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage). The lymphatic system plays an important part in maintaining correct fluid levels. The movements used in lymphatic drainage massage are lighter than classic massage techniques. They include brushing and some tapping, patting, stroking, pumping and squeezing movements which help the complicated filtering system made up of tiny vessels and the lymph glands to work more effectively. This is often recommended post-surgery or illness.

A longer appointment provides additional time to perform the necessary range of movements and supports enhanced drainage.

Scar Therapy combines scar massage, myofascial release massage & manual lymphatic drainage massage; the use of silicone cupping and specialist scar creams and oils; guidance on home care including self massage, nutrition and exercise.

During your first scar appointment with Louise she will provide a full assessment and treatment of your scar and global concerns, and formulate a scar rehab plan. Suitable for Adults and Children’s scars.

If you have attended your initial Scar Therapy Treatment with Louise, during a follow-up appointment will provide hands on scar therapy treatment, re-design your scar therapy rehab plan and accelerate your scar healing and recovery.
