Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) (non-medical) —cleanses, relaxes, relieves pain & boost immunity.

MLD, a specialised form of massage has a powerful cleansing, relaxing, pain relieving & immunological effects. MLD involves long, gentle, flowing light strokes, passive movement of the limbs and joints and pumping-type compressions and can be applied to a wide range of physical conditions to great effect. It is designed to encourage the movement of lymph to nodal areas of the body where it is filtered. This helps the body maintain proper lymph and blood circulation, body fluid balance, and immune function. I offer MLD as a standalone treatment or combined with Scar Therapy Massage.

Testimonials

  • "For almost a year I have had pain in my hip that I’ve been unable to completely treat or get rid of. I’ve tried many types of rehab therapy, creams, potions, the lot but have been unable to pinpoint the source of the issue. We were lucky enough to have Louise recently move into our building and after a lovely chat I had my first session today. I would highly recommend a session with Louise with any pain or sports related injuries. She is informative, knowledgeable and put me completely at ease throughout. I also had the benefit of experiencing her new LymphaTouch machine which was unbelievably effective. Within 20 minutes Louise had been able to identify two areas that were causing me the issue and worked on both areas. I felt immediate relief and benefit. Thank you Louise - I will be back very soon for my follow up session!"

  • "I highly recommend Louise from Vibrant Matter. I booked in for a massage after an ultra marathon — my legs were so sore but Louise worked her magic on them! She was attentive to my needs and the atmosphere and vibe was perfect. Thank you!"

  • "I have been having massages from Louise for sometime and I think she is very good at what she does. I have had massages from other therapists in the past and think Louise stands out from the crowd. She is very knowledgeable and very experienced. I would 100% recommend her to give relief to pain sufferers."

  • "I received an injury on holiday to my shoulder area which caused me great concern as I didn’t think anything would fix it. Thanks to Louise for her professionalism and determination, with the use of deep tissue massage she was able to sort my problem. Much appreciation and respect Louise. Highly recommended.”

"I went to Louise with very painful knees that had stopped me hiking and made it difficult to walk up the hill home from shopping. I have seen a sports physio and been given exercises which were hard to do because of the pain. I had three massage treatments from Louise which concentrated on my legs. Following it the knee pain had gone, and I was back to hiking and doing Wainrights."

  • "If there was a 6 star option, it would get a click from me! Louise is a bodyworks practitioner, I now know the difference between this and a regular massage therapist. I wasn't really an 'alternative therapy' advocate, but I've reached an age where I feel I need to focus on me. I was recommended to Louise. From the second I walked in to the tranquil room, the lovely music, the gorgeous aroma of oils, but mostly Louise has a way of making you feel at ease instantly, it all felt right."

  • "Louise spent a considerable amount of time discussing 'me', what my challenges are body wise, what my gripes are, health conditions, and what are my expectancies & priorities, then she's off! I am extremely body conscious for a number of reasons, but Louise has a fab way of making you feel relaxed and that you can trust her, for any of her therapies, the less stuff in the way, the better. It's not a 'hands off' approach! She really gets 'into' the problem area, knows the interconnectivity of the muscles, and finds what the issue is, and sorts it! She must go home completely kn*ckered! All that aside, if you just want an effective, deep and impactive massage, or a calming relaxing massage, she can offer the whole spectrum. The last bit to add is Louise is a good soul with a lovely joyful personality, she makes me laugh, which is great to enable a relaxed experience for me. Thanks very much!"

  • "For over two years, I’ve been struggling with issues on my right side, largely due to my lifestyle—lots of driving, long office hours and not enough movement. Enter Louise, and everything changed. Louise is truly amazing. From the start, she transformed my zero knowledge of muscles and how they work, helping me understand my own body better. She is incredibly encouraging, knowledgeable & professional. Her expertise is remarkable—she has an in-depth understanding of how the body functions and how different muscle groups interact. What makes her exceptional is her ability to tailor her therapy to everyone. Louise takes careful time to get to know you by completing an initial assessment so that she knows exactly where to focus, ensuring you get the best possible results. During treatment she regularly communicates to check in how impactful the treatment is that she is applying, to keep it comfortable."

  • "Louise continuously invests in new ways to improve her services. Her latest addition, the LymphaTouch cup suction machine, combined with Louise’s knowledge and skill, has an utterly amazing effect and I can feel the results immediately after my session. I’ve never moved better & when walking back home post session, I just feel fabulous. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares, who listens, and who has the knowledge and skill to make a difference, I couldn’t recommend Louise enough. She is a life-changer & I am very grateful, thanks Louise x"
